"At Dalemead we have 46 residents who are all living with some form of Dementia to some extent. Talitha gives a wonderful opportunity for all of those residents to enjoy themselves and feel like they belong.
Every session is jam packed full of laughter, joy and opportunities to be engaged in creative activities."

Sparking and Creating Memories
Our workshops are designed for people of all abilities - using music, movement, creative objects and conversation to help spark memories and create new ones in a safe and inclusive space. We offer a space to celebrate each person's individuality and achievements.
"The meaningful activities have really helped to unlock conversations, precious memories, connections and past skills and experiences, as well as developing new skills."
- Sarah Withey, Activities Coordinator

"The sessions were informative and encouraged our residents to talk about their experiences.
Our conversations would also continue after you left."

Cultivating Joy and Belonging
Our workshops utilise multiple forms of creative expression to bring about joy and build community - improving overall mental health and wellbeing.
"Talitha gives a wonderful opportunity for all of the residents to enjoy themselves and feel like they belong. Talitha practitioners have created such a huge sense of community with our residents… after every Talitha session it is clear to me how much the residents' well-being has benefited ... thanks for bringing us joy.

Developing Motor Skills
Creative activities have been specially developed to stimulate the mind and body through multi-sensory output. Hand eye co-ordination is stimulated through gentle creative warm ups and activities, helping to maintain muscle use.
"Our residents enjoyed the multi-sensory sessions with Talitha. They were beneficial as the activities encouraged exercise, singing and creativity."

Confidence and Self-Expression
Through a multitude of engaging sensory activities, Individuals are encouraged to express themselves creatively. Each is given the opportunity to be heard, seen and celebrated by the group.
"One lady who had low self esteem has blossomed before our eyes. She found her voice within the group and is now speaking with confidence and ease"
