As you may know from our previous blog post, Talitha will be running the London Marathon this year! We will be represented by Mark Ridealgh, who will be taking on the challenge of completing his first marathon to support our work. All funds raised will go directly towards our therapeutic arts programmes, aiding vulnerable groups to explore the freedom of the creative arts.
Thank you so much to all those who have supported already by sharing and donating to our campaign. September 3rd marked the one month countdown to the event itself and we are thrilled to tell you that we have just surpassed half of our fundraising target!
We were hoping to get a group of supporters together on the day to cheer Mark on, but due to COVID it is best for this year if people support from afar. But you still can! It would be a great help and support if you download the image below (by clicking on it) and post it on your social media channels on the day of the London Marathon - October 3rd. You can tag @talithaarts and direct people to the link in our bio, which takes you to our fundraising page!
"I know it's going to be a real challenge, but knowing that a little bit of personal pain and suffering can help to ease other people's trauma through the work Talitha Arts carries out, will hopefully give me the motivation I need to complete the training, and ultimately, the London Marathon. Please donate what you can to support this great organisation."
Click HERE to read Mark's motivation for running the London Marathon in order to support our work (despite him famously hating running!). Please share our campaign with your friends and family and donate if you can - every little bit helps and all funds raised will go directly to Talitha's therapeutic arts workshops, providing specialised programmes for vulnerable groups.
Love & light to all <3
